chugging and dieing at stop lights

i took the car to the shop and while there we discovered that cylinder one was miss firing. that was an easy fix. then things got complicated. the head gasket is leaking, sdo that needs to be replaced. and as the car was up in the air we noticed that the rear brakes drums are bad. one is bent and the other is broken. the exhaust welds are broken. this sums it up for the backof the car. now for the middle the spots under the doors where the metal wraps down and overlaps with the back quarter panels is rusted through on both sides. you have to love iowa for using salt on their roads. so now i am looking for a way to fix that. im thinking grind the rust out and wrap those with fiberglass or something. the fornt of the car need to have its control arms replaced and have the bushings replaced as well. in all i am looking at 1000 dollars just to have it driveable to where i don't have to worry about it. that doesn't include the rust repair.
