Was driving home from work in a down pour, by the time I saw it was too late, flooded street car died going threw it , had it towed home water was maybe 10 inches deep , there was water in the air intake , pulled plugs also in cylinders and when I drained the oil some came out of the pan also , drained all water I could changed oil and plugs added some mystery oil to cylinders and block , started it up smoked and ran a little rough finally smoothed out, second day drove around the area a little bit noticed it revved up around 3500 to 4500 rpm before it shifted out of first unless I let up on the pedal and when I backed up in the driveway noticed drops of antifreeze when I parked it there was a good size puddle coming from overflow has been parked since, insurance wants to total it out but I have a new rebuilt motor and trying at this point to figure the problems out it's a 1998 cavalier z24 , searching for some answers Thanks
