This is on my 2004 cavalier which I'm replacing the fuel pump.
The tank straps are held by a bolt and clips with a nut on the other side of the body mount. On one side the nut broke from the clip which now means the bolt just spins. The tank is out and there are open fuel lines. I'm going to try and hacksaw through the bolt and see how that goes. I know a cutoff wheel would make quick work but I'm worried about the open fuel lines.
Any other suggestions?
depending on how much space you have there bolt cutters would work. you could plug the lines or clear them out with compressed air and let them evaporate or just stick with the hacksaw. personaly i would cap off the lines and clean out the spilled fuel.
