my axle boot on drivers side has been leaking grease for a while now on my 2.4L four speed auto and i have a few questions before i try the repair on my own:
1. shld i buy a new axle? if so from what store/ brand is the best on advance autoparts i didnt like 2 reviews on there new $67 GSP axle. and dealer wanted $734 for a axle.
2. shld i just replace the boot and regrease?

Honestly that's up to you to check for any sort of damage to the CV joint. If it's messed up, then just get a new axle. Changing the boot is kind of a PITA anyways, might be more worth your time just to change the axle and be done with it.
i find it amusing that SHOoff has nothing better to do but follow me around & be an unhelpful dick in even cross-forum. - Jon Mick
Check rockauto.com for prices, Nw Cv axle is cheap and worth changing compared to hassle of changing just the boot
thanks for the site, i ordered it from there.
carquest wanted $76 for the cardone axle and i got from rockauto.com for $56 shipped
and i picked up the axle seal from dealer for $27.
