This afternoon i got in my car and cranked it and as soon as it cranked it died on me. So without turning the key all the way back i tried to just recrank it and all it did was turn over. So i turn the key all the way back and all the way to the on postition and let the pump send fuel up front and tried cranking it again it cranked then died immediately again. Im thinking the fuel pump is weak and isnt delivering the right amount of fuel to the injectors. What do yall think my issue is?
Do you always hear the pump priming really good when you turn the key to the ON position?
yea it sonds like it always has
I was also thinking that it could be the fuel regulator
It could be the fuel pump but when my pump died it would not start or sputter. So you might have another issue, clogged air filter, fuel filter, FPR ect.
-I drive my car to work-
well i got to thinking and the pump sounds normal so it must not be weak. I have a cold air intake that im always cleaning the the filter on and the fuel filter is only a few years old so i doubt its clogged. Now as for the regulator its is the original 13 year old regulator with 110,000 miles on it so im just going to order a new one and hope thats it.
Sorry for the double post but i think i might have found the problem one of the the vacumm hoses was slightly pulled off the t were the hose that goes to the regulator is so i guess it just had a slight leak we will see in the morning if it does it again
