PASSLOCK OR ANTI THEFT?
Tuesday, September 13, 2011 5:49 PM
my car was sitting for quiet sometime, but then I went to start it the batter was dead, tried to boost it and it would start for about 1-2secs, then sputter out, this happened twice... decided to buy a good battery plug, put it in and see.. all lights & everthing works but no start, doesn't not turn over, its a auto trans and its like as if u try to start it in gear (all dash lights on but go out when I turn the key ahead) is this a pass lock problem under the colum?. or is it a anti theft prob?.. and what is the exacty proper way to do the anti theft reset.. I've tried to start the car in park & in neutral still nothing, any certain gound wires I chould be looking for?.. I can hear the fuses make a noise when I listen very carefully while someone else turns the key back & fourth... I know it can't be much, the car work fantastic when it was parked..

thankyou for your helpfull input in advance

Has the fuel pump been tested? Start been over heated? or has failed?

I can hear the fuel pump come on, car has never been over heated, its acting like its in gear, but its not, everything lights up, just not turning over.. I'm thinking it could be a pass lock wires or a ground maybe? I really don't wanna tow it to a shop for somthing that turns out to be really stupid.. but it looks like I may have too.. I'll try some options tomorrow & see what happens
