vapor lock?

hey. just put a fresh 2.4 in my 99 cavi. first time ever swapping a motor. i had a guy said he would help me with every thing but he never showed up so i did it myself.
i guess i put the anti freeze in wrong and i'm having some serious vapor lock problems, maybe i have something hooked up wrong some where. i changed my thermo stat and that didnt help.

the car gets a bit above 90* but it doesnt overheat and my fan keeps blowing fuses. it never kicks on at all. i drained it the best i could to try and start over, filling it slowly with just water to see if i could get it work, but when i drive or rev it up a bit it starts spitting out all the water like crazy either out the cap if its not on or through the over flow. the car runs great other then i got real squeaky pully. the heat does work. i messed with it for 2 days trying to get the water and coolant to just stay in but its not working. some think its a head gasket but i hope not.

im checking here to see if any one could know whats up or any ideas, and if not then i'm going to take it to a shop. thanks

Thats weird. Normally vapor lock is referred to V8's with mechanical fuel pumps on the block that get hot and actually create a vapor pocket in the fuel line while driving slow and then the car almost stalls when you stomp on it from fuel starvation.
If the fan fuse is blowing out I would bet that the fan is getting jammed on something and is unable to spin. Are you sure you put the coolant lines in correctly?

i have no fuel problems, just coolant not staying in the motor. like i said first time ever doing this, i thought i put every thing where it should be but not sure. fan spins freely.

First test your fan motor with some jump cables see if it runs. Sounds as if your fan motor is shorted or there is a short in the wiring. It happened to me once that the coolant was bubling and coming out by the reservoir cap it was the fan motor connector I replaced it and never again...after you got your fan motor working correctly if the car still overheats I would take out the thermostat and try the car without it, Good luck.

i took it to a shop. the fan still doesnt work but i guess my coolant jug had a crack or something like that in it and it was making it over heat. ill figure out the fan today thats for the tips!

i swapped and wired a good fan to a switch. my car is still spitting out all the coolant but it does not over heat. the shop i took it to isn't open today and hasn't been all weekend.
i need my car for school tomorrow morning. its an hour drive there and back.
can any one find my a diagram of the cooling system, where all the coolant lines should be run to and what not, and maybe a fan wiring diagram. or direct me to where i can find this info, just so i can check if i have all my stuff right..
one more question. right by the starter, on the tranny, there are 2 bolts for ground wires i believe, one of the grounds is black and the other one has 4 wires on it, there are 2 yellow and 2 black i think. is it possible that these shouldn't be grounded? the 2 yellow and 2 black are all connected together so all of them go to the same place.
i had some one help me take the motor out, so i'm not sure if i put them back in the right spot. thanks
