3/8th (on a 2.2ohv), but you need to keep your stock sensor in or your car will run terrible...not terrible, but you will feel a small difference, i tried to put aftermarket gauge in and removed stock one, it's like the computer always thought the car was running cold, it feels like you driving the car right when u start it up but feels like that all the time...it's drivable but feels wierd, atleast to me it did. Also don't use a T fitting...i tried that and the coolant wasnt "flowing" past the sensors so it only read the right temp when idling...when moving, read cold
all in all i just didnt put it in lol the stock gauge read right, i just liked the digital one better....maybe someone else has a better suggestion
The stock computer references the coolant temperature to know when to switch between open look and closed loop.
The stock sensor bust be hooked up or the car wont run correctly.
