rear defrost has quit on me. i did a search and i checked the fuse it was ok, and the green wire connection thingy under the carpet was fine. any other ideas on what could be going on?

If you checked all the other possibilities, there is probably a connection thats broken on the rear defroster grid. I know they make a compound that will bridge a small gap in your grid. I had this problem soon after I bought my car; I had a bad habit of keeping tools and other junk back by the window and thats what I believe severed one of those connections. Bad tint jobs can also damage the grid. If you can't find any interruptions on the grid itself, or the wires going to the little black box that distributes electricity through the grid, you're probably going to have to replace the rear window. Sucks, but thats what I had to end up doing because that compound only works with very small breaks on the grid.
the light comes on when i push the button. may have to look at the back, its tinted but that was done 3 or 4 years ago.

fixed it, wife came home, took a look and it was halfway unplugged, guess one the the kids fooled with it.
