Bird Chirping under the hood? NOT belts

Was working on my brakes the other day and had my key on accessories with the music up and after a while i started hearing a bird chirping(honestly thought it was one in a tree). I stood up and realized it was coming from the engine bay. Searched and searched, couldn't pin point it but it's coming from just under the ABS module. It sort of sounds like something is venting but it's not much of an "air" sound. Goes away with the car on or key off so I'm not worried about it, just wondering what this is....takes about 5 minutes in accessories to happen..

Also! Throwing an axle question.....My left axle, the shorter one, looking at it, the boot closer to the transmission seems stretched out alot alot more then the one by the hub. I looked at the other axle and the boots on them seem to be about even, this normal?

the only "bird chirping" noise i have heard typically comes from the power steering pump when the bearings are starting to go. im on here because i've done a crap ton of work on my cousins 96 sunfire lately, and i needed some reference material, and at first i thought her car had a bad belt because it was making that noise, but i was able to narrow it down to the power steering pump. if your car was not running then im kinda at a loss. hope this helps
