While in the process of cleaning the roller lifters so i can reinstall them in the block, i noticed that theres almost no give in the plunger like a hydrolic lifter usually has. Does the 2.2 OHV engine have solids instead of hydrolic lifters? Im curious because i had the block decked .010 to clean it up, plus the head's been surfaced about the same. So far im at the point whare im ready to bolt the head back on the top of the motor, but dont want to go any farther with it untill i figure this bump in the road out. Am i going to run into problems with getting shorter pushrods, and do the make longer or shorter pushrods for thiese motor's, because the roller rockers dont adjust either.
I have a new set of lifters for that motor if you wanna replace em. 50 bux for all of em plus shipping. If interested please email.

Are they hydraulic's or solid roller lifters, what im trying to find out is, if the block and head has been surfaced, to make each of them straight for a good seal, Does this infact cause a problem with valve train geometry.
