n e one know how to reset the "service engine soon" text from the dash display on a 2005 chevy uplander?

thanks sorry for not being a jbody question, but if someone can guide me would apreciate it.

If its like the oil light, then put the key on engine off, press the accelerator down 5 or 6 times, all the way to the floor, turn it off then key one engine on, and see if that works. If not try calling a dealership. Maybe U have a code in the computer that its telling you about. Try going to Autozone and see if they can see if you have a code. Goodluck buddy.

yeah i kinda of tryed that gas pettle thing, though i press it 15 times.

we have fixed the issue it was misfireing and coil was changed. it doesnt have engine codes or engine light. it just has that text display "service engine soon" in the odometer screan.

i have an scan tool.

after pumping it, did u try turning the ignition off after about 5 or 6 times?? If so, then idk. Best thing i can say is call a dealer. Sometimes they will help you. Goodluck man.

you can try disconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes
