hey, im not on here much but i could use some help.
i went to go drive today and when i took off my car kinda stuttered like it was about to stall. and the same thing happened when i shifted. so i turned around and came home, barely made it, stalled in the middle of the street and now it just wont start. engine cranks, but wont start. hoping someone can help me, i know a little about cars, but im no mechanic. hoping someone can help me figure out whats wrong or narrow it down a little more cuz im stumped, my best guess is that its not getting gas, cuz when i stepped on the throttle its like it didnt register.
oh btw its an 04 5sp
have you checked fuses and relays for the fuel pump?
i havent really checked anything, i didnt even know where to start. ill go check them right now
so i went out to start it this morning and it started up , but died after a couple seconds. would this be the fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, im still stumped
it could be either.
get under the car, try beating on the gas tank. then try starting it.
Not sure if you have abit of help or not, but you could going and laying down by your gas tank and then have somebody turn your ignition on and listen to see if the pump turns on to pressurize the system.
