Swapping PCMS

Talk to me. I have a 97, and 97-99 PCMs are all the same computer. If I got one from one of those years with a 2.2, manual tranny, would I just be able to learn the passlock relearn and go, or does it HAVE to have my vin in it?

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.

SHOULD start and run, but come inspection time, some states require the vin of the computer to match the car to pass. just sayin'.

See that's what I'm not sure of. I'd have to learn passlock worse case scenario. Might ask Mom if she can take me to the junkyard tomorrow.

PCM doesnt care what VIN is in it. Koreys GP is running a PCM from a Lumina with a GP flash. Youll have to go to a dealership to get the VIN changed I believe.
