Ok so I had my 03 cav inspected a little while ago and they said my defogger does not work anymore. basically the rest of my a/c works, it blows hot and cold just fine and all the other settings work but when I go to put it on the defogger setting, something is not letting the air come out of the defogger vents at the top of my dash but will come out of my other vents just fine. anyone have this issue specifically with 03+ cavs? I took it to pepboys and they said I had to go to the dealer.

Check the bottom part of the heater controls... there's a cable that is supposed to snap onto the bottom piece of plastic, and it's common to break and fall off. I pushed mine back on, then held it in place with a zip-tie.
