horsepower is the force that determines at what speed you hit the wall, torque is the force that determines how far you take the wall with you after you hit it.
the only way it snaps in.
the top of the filter snaps into the cap with the small nipple pointing down. then screw the whole thing in place.
don't worry about oiling the seal.

Thanks, that helped me too. I'm getting ready to change oil in my 04 Cav.
just snaps in as stated above! just make sure the nipple is on the bottom side!
