Ok...I woke up one morning and my car is completely dead, so I changed out the battery and alternator thinking that was it but it wasn't. Now, I'm not too sure what it could be...any one ever experience this problem? BTW, I have a 95 Olds Aurora 4.0 and with the problems I've had with this makes me wish I kept the sunfire.
Any help is appreciated.
Let me add...everything is fine driving - no lights or anything. Only after I shut the car off is when the Volt light comes on and all accesories such as door lights, radio , A/C and power windows are still operative when it's powered off.
i would think ignition switch from the sound of it if every thing is still operational after you have shut the motor off...
i had a 98 plymouth breeze the ignition tumblers were so worn out you could remove the key in position (even if the car was running) and if you didn't pay attention you left the car in "acc" and not lock which would drain the battery in a matter of hours...
