Transmission Labor Time?

Hey guys, a friend of mine is asking me to check out what it SHOULD cost her to get her trans replaced at a local shop but I'm not sure how many hours the trans is worth. Its a 96 2.2 with a 3spd auto. Just wondering if anybody knows offhand.

2-3 hrs shop time. Usually it only takes about, 30mins to an 1 hour, Ive had done it. Usually a shop can give you a good break down time. Also thats estmated time if everything goes with no problems, Like if a bolt breaks, Then more time is added, Usually that time is pretty accurate.

Good Luck.

2-3 hours seems very light for a time on R&R transmission.

I dont have MOD on this machine, and wont have time to look it up before I head out for vaca, but I would say a shop is probably going to charge 6-8 hrs labor.
