cv axles

I had my sons driver side axle replaced the other day. The clutch worked fine before I took it in the shop, now it seems to be losing fluid from the master cylinder. I have not looked to see if there is a hole or the hose got crimped. My question is when you replace a axle on the drivers side can you crimp the clutch hose ? It seems odd we never had a problem before and now after a mechanic changes the axle the fluid is leaking or disappearing. Any help or suggestions as what to do?

they shouldn't be near the clutch line, most shops have the proper too for the shaft and its all done from below

its probably just one of those things that happened. its not to hard to change out a clutch master i'd get one from a wrecker and call it a day

yeah that is an unrelated repair......if you were leaking tranny fluid out the axle seal.....then its going to be a shop problem.

unless you see a fresh crimp mark on the line or something.....I HIGHLY doubt it was from thier intervention.

I agree with the comments, however when I picked up the vehicle the clutch felt spongy. It was not this way when I brought it back. I took it home and checked the reservoir and it was empty. I filled the reservoir and 2 days later it was empty again. I have been working a lot of hours and have not been able to look for the leak.
Can you just replace the rubber line or do you have to replace the master cylinder as a whole?
