engine mis-firing and stalling after starting ( no spark ??no fuel???)

roughly 3 months ago my ICM died ... i replaced it with another good but used ICM from the junk yard. the car seems to have a miss at idle since i changed to that ICM but the car acts normally without a miss fire off idle ( with any amount of throttle ).

things have gotten worse in the past week;

car starts up without hesitation and idles with a slight miss. as soon as there is some load on the motor the car barely stays running. it sporadically fires just enough to keep it self running. if i go wide open throttle it will rev fine and drive under load even. this ovbiously makes me think the TPS is faulty.

the thing is that if the car is warmed up it generally wont happen.... its mostly during cold starts and if i turn the ignition off and then back on again the car will run normally for about 10 seconds . sometimes it will take 5 times cycling the ignition on and off before it continues to run properly.

anyone have any idea as to where i should begin??

the car has become more and more gutless in the past few months also. this made me think the cat was perhaps getting clogged. another thing is that i have yet to change the fuel filter on this car. that willbe done this week as soon as i can find the righ t filter. the filter on my car has two flared fittings instead of the quick connect fitting on the inlet side.

change the filter first. its easy and probably needs it anyway.
check the coil pack housing for any cracks. sounds like an O2 sensor problem.
a clogged cat wouldnt cause a miss. it also wouldnt get better at WOT, it would just cause general lack of power.
