ok so i went and got my borla exhaust put on yesterday, my z24 was runnin great on the way there. well now as soon as i pull out of the shop it started to spudder, but it stopped, it really only does it when you really put your foot into the accelerator. why would it just now start this after my exhaust install? it seems like its not gettin the gas its suppose to. could this be a fuel filter or pump? or is this backpressure involved? thanks
is this just a cat-back install?
yes, 2.25 piping ran with resonator and borla pro xs muffler. i just took it for a drive, it wont spudder at all unless you just stomp on it, but even then it only feels like it misses once maybe twice then it wont do it till you slow back down and do it again.
Mine is doing the same thing, mine is a pure stock 97 Z24. No CEL light or stored codes. new fuel pump, filter, plugs, air filter, cleaned the intake and added fuel injector cleaner. So I am going nuts trying to figure it out too. Mine only doeas it on accelerate and runs great going down the highway.
disconnect the neg. on the battery for 15 minutes and see if that changes anything
did it while i was runnin my systems wires, didnt change a thing, but it seems not to do it as much, im just puzzled what it could be.
It is probably the coil pack housing. It's known to cause missing. Take the idi cover off and check the white cover over the coil packs for cracks or black streaks across it that looks like something burned if so. I'd say that is your problem.
already did, got new plugs, housing, tps, air filter. could it be my plug boots?
