91 cavalier oil pressure sending unit

my oil pressure gauge in my 91 2.2 cavalier has developed a twitch. im going to replace the sending unit next time i do an oil change. where is it located on my car? is it near the oil filter like on the 305 in my camaro? is it easily replace?

Well with out going thru my books and stuff here is my suggestion.It should be on the back of the block going towards the firewall.It should have a two wire plug going to and you can go to either advanceautoparts.com or autozone and select shopping online,enter ur vehicle info do a search for oil press sender and it should show u a picture of the part in most cases.U do not have to wait till the oil change bc it is mounted high and very little oil will come out the screw in hole it is in.Also I may suggest using some permatex high temp thread sealant (comes in a small white tube) put a small amount on the threads of the sender so oil want leak thru.Pretty simple fix really.This will help.
