About the only thing I don’t like on my 2000 LS is the weak signal on the key fob. Sometimes I have to get right next to the car to get it to work. The battery is fine and it has always been weak in this way.
Anyone know how to boost the signal or improve the antenna?

Factory signals are weak. Nothing you can do. Heres a trick though when you hit it hold it up to your chin. It actually increases the signal a little. Or you can spend around $200 on an aftermarket system with a lot longer range.
No joke the chin trick actually works.
