Hey guys, I have a problem with my 2002 Cavalier. I did a search to see if anyone else has had the same problem but I didn't get much in the way of answers. Any way the problem just started a couple days ago. Any way over the last two weeks I drove down to Salt Lake City from Calgary about 2800 km's round trip (885 miles).
The car ran just fine the whole trip, before I left I had my oil changed and a brand new fuel filter put in. After getting back into town it ran just fine for a couple days until the problem started. I first noticed symptoms when I filled up my tank of gas. I was going to leave and I started and immediately stalled. I didn't think of it much at the time just didn't think I gave it time to start properly. I started it up again and it ran just fine. Drove another 15 km's (18 miles) and shut the car down at my buddy's place, not even for 5 minutes. Went to start it up again and it just cranked without turning over. After some more cranking it finally started and I was able to drive the 15 km's home. There was no other running problems on the way.
Later on in the day I went to go out again, same problem it would do nothing but crank without turning over. After a while of cranking it started but stalled immediately, cranked again started and stalled. I tried once more and it started and ran just fine. Was able to drive to the store and had the same problem when I tried starting it when leaving the store but again ran just fine when it finally got running.
Now what could possibly be the problem? I was planning on taking my car into the mechanic but no one is open until Wednesday so if its a fix I could do before then I might just do it.
Thanks
you didn't happen to put e85 in there did you

Nope...I don't even know where to get E85 if we can even get it here in Calgary. The last fuel I did put in has 10% Ethanol however, but I have never had a problem using it before.
And as far as I know I didn't goto any stations with E85 in the States
