Removing timing chain cams! HelP!!!!

I just want to get at cams and head so i can do some seals!? but after working for a bit i found i cant get the cam covers off without getting the whole entire timing chain housing cover off.!!! can this even be done with engine in.. its TIGHT! like hella tight the motor mounts like inch beside it!

2001 cavalier 2.4 twin cam! HEL!P anything please

Yup... cams on the 2.4L is a pain in the butt... you have to support the engine some other way.... remove the mounts... remove all the timing chain housing assembly.... you'll see once you get the cam sprockets off, you can access the four bolts that hold the cam carriers to the timing chain housing.

It's FUN!
