So im driving to work today (super windy and dusty not very hot) and decide to run my AC for only the 4th time in the almost year I have had the car. I didnt wanna breathe dust the whole way to work. Anyways, turned it on and everything was cool. On the freeway at about 70 MPH I noticed a squel coming from somewhere. Took my foot off the gas it went away...pressed the gas again it came back. Turned off the ac, it went totally away with my foot on the gas. Turned the ac back on and it was gone no more squel. Drove to lunch and the same sequence of event happened again. What could this be?
bad belt
tensioner issue
ac system??
its a 2.2 eco.
thanks for any advice.
Dont know how to help ya, i took my a/c out because it didnt work anyways
What about lower speeds while drving? Its that the only time you hear the squel. If it was belt or tensioner related the sound will change with different engine speed, not driving speed.
no different speeds or anything, just squeling....it only happened if i ws ON the gas
could it be the bearings in the blower motor it self? alot of times when a electric motor gets dusty the motors howl or squeal.is there any los of power or hesitation.
