New TB installed. Resetting computer question.

Just got my smg tb back and installed on my 03 sunfire and while everything seems to be alright, the rpm's seem to be having some issues. It's definitely driveable, but when putting in the clutch to either shift, or come to a stop the rpm's take a little longer to drop than they did before, and if I take my foot of the gas, the car will continue coasting at the same speed/rpm for a couple seconds or so before slowing itself down.

So what I'm wondering is, is there a way to "reset" the computer so that it learns anything that's changed since installing the new TB? I thought I'd read that you just have to disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, re-connect and turn the car on. Is that correct?

Or any other theories on why it may be doing what it's doing, are more than welcome.

Oh yeah, and if I'm idling and turn on the defrost, the rpm's drop really low, almost to the point of stalling and while this happened before as well, it wasn't quite as extreme a drop.

Well I'm 99% sure that all the hoses were put back on properly with no leaks, but I'll double check that in the morning.
Any word on the "reset"?

Also, could this be the problem? On the TB on the spot I circled (not my pics) there's the slightest bit of the hole open under the plate.

So I checked all the hoses/wires that I might have touched or bumped while switching and they all seem to be plugged in nice and tight. Also seems to be a slight tap sound near what I think is the power steering resevoir. Checked oil just for the hell of it, and although dark enough it's time for my next oil change, it's just fine.
