sometimes just stalls and starts right back up. sometimes it feels like its misfiring and has trouble starting up and even very rough idle. but if i try starting it enough times it will finally run fine.

fuel filter just changed (i was hoping that was the problem)
fuel pump is not making any unusual sounds

most things i read here point to the fuel pump but thats something i dont feel like taking a guess on since its a pain to drop the tank. other possibilty i thought of was coil packs. i just wish it would die so i could diagnose the problem. is there any way to test the coil packs when the proble is random?? any other ideas?
does it not want to start like cranking and it will finally start after about 8 times? when it does will it sputter its way up to idle?
my 93 did the same thing... the A/F gauge ran to the red, off... then the car would die... that sucked at stop lights...

replaced the fuel pump yesterday with one of those ebay "repair kits". the pump works fine but i still wont call it a success for about a week since my problem was random and happened every couple of days.
