bleeder screw location

Hey

I'm doing a coolant flush and refill on 1998 Sunfire (2.2 OHV). I have already found the drain plug on the radiator and engine block. Does anyone know the location of the bleeder screw(s)? I know there's one for the heater core which is easy to find, but I'm wondering if there's another one.

Thanks

To be honest I think you found them all, i havent really heard of a bleeder screw for the coolant system, There obviously should be the pitcock which is the white knob on the radiator and one in the block and heater core if accessible. if there isnt another one you still pretty much have it covered.

It also depends a bit on your exact application and year. I have both a 96 and 97 - both 2.2. The 96 has both bleeders as pictured.
The 97 (on onwards) does not have the bleed port on the block - instead you may find a fitting with a line connected to it that runs across in from of the engine, and into the coolant reservoir. This the engine block is self-bleeding on 97 and newer. The heater core bleed port is still there just behind the oil dip stick - as pictured. Air lock in the cooling was always a big problem on these engines - thus finally they put in a self bleeding line.
As you have a 98, I suspect you may only find the one bleed port. Use caution - they break easily.

It is on metal line on drivers side of engine, simple to find if you follow coolant line from reservoir, its a little knob. As Mike said, use caution, broke mine the first time and had to go to junk yard and get new line, as far as I know parts stores don't carry them.
