1 wire O2 into a 2wire harness...

I am installing a 1wire O2 into my 2002 z24 2.4L. The car had a 2 wire. (sensor and ground) Which wire on the cars harness do i plug the single Sensor wire into? and then what do i do about the other wire? does it need to be grounded? or do you just leave the other wire disconnected?

if it is still the gm standard color coding, then the o2 signal wire should be either purple or purple/white. the other wire will need to be grounded. If the wires are not original, probe them and see if one already has continuity to ground, if so, that one will be the ground and the other the signal.

Why are you installing a 1 wire O2 sensor on a 2 wire car? There is no gain from this. Get a 2 wire sensor. Really you should get a heated O2 sensor which is 4 wires.

Ok i guess i should have explained this, as i knew someone would be like "why the hell would you want to do that"

I was just trying to keep things simple, and just get to the answer....

I just replaced my upstream O2 with a Innovate LC-1 Wideband O2. and it only has a one wire for "narrowband output"

So i just need to know how to wire this one wire into my harness.

So the gain comes in many ways as i am sure you know if familiar with the LC-1 wideband.

Do not now why you did not say this from the start. Still if it was me I would use a regualr O2 sensor for your primary sensor. Only use the LC-1 (I have one as well) for tuning. For a longer life spain take it out once tuning is done. This is me and what I would/do do.
