i was wondering if anyone here could tell me if a transmission from a 1999 sunfire gt would fit a 2001gt and if a 5 speed swap would be hard to do.
so the 99 transmission will bolt right to the 01? as for the 5 speed swap i think i will let the local garage handle that lol...
Yes, it will bolt in, however you would need to use the 99- flywheel and 99- clutch, and then do the swap like you were doing it in a 99-, including mount locations, shift cables, shifter assembly, master cylinder, the holes for the pedals, etc.
