crankcase pressure

I have a 2000 2.4L DOHC. I bought the vehicle knowing it had crankcase pressure. I took the head off and with all the carbon build up on the valves, i went with the idea that the valves weren't sealing properly, thus letting the combustion gasses by. I have the head back on with a vavle grind and valve seals replaced. I'm not too familiar with this EGR system, but it appears there just isn't a valve, just an open passage. any ideas of what to look at next or is this pressure normal? i noticed the pressure when i put my hand over the oil fill hole. thanks

Is it burning oil? You can tell my blueist smoke coming out the exhaust. If so i am willing to bet your rings are shot.

I don't know any DUAL CAM motor that while running you don't feel air coming from the oil fill cap lol AFTER ALL two cams are working under the valve cover...... I'd say do a compression check and see where each cylinder stands.

2000+ 2.4's do not have EGR valves on them. Pre 2000 2.4's did well 96-98 did. The hole is in the head for it, but it is not used from the factory.
