My car smells like gasoline

So I can smell gasoline under my hood, and inside my car. It gets pretty strong. 2004 Cavalier Z24. It get's worse when it gets colder. I can't see anything leaking, but I don't really know what to look for. Any ideas what could be causing it?

Look by the regulator. I have heard of the Eco leaking there.

My gf's also having the same problem in her 2000 Grand Am. I've been wondering what the problem is too. It only happens when we turn on the defroster though.

It could be a corroded fuel line that's leaking, bad injector, the injectors o-rings leaking, at this point it's all speculation. No way to know for sure unless you get the car up on the hoist and see where it's leaking from.

Is this something I can let go until april when I'm done school and working again? That's if it doesn't get worse of coarse.

I haven't been able to see anything, but I was in poor lighting. It's pretty much gone away when it's warm. So I kinda think that if it only happens when it's cold, it could be from some sort of seal shrinking / hardening in the cold.

Is this the first year you've experienced this? If so it could be a problem that developed recently because it doesn't make sense for this to be anything seasonal. Did you notice your fuel mileage change? It's obvious you have a leak somewhere, now you just have to find it. I would not let this issue continue because, well, fuel is flammable and suffice to say you don't want anyone throwing a cigarette under your car when you have fuel exposed like that. Some issues you can postpone but this is just too risky to ignore.

Well, I don't remember it ever happening until recently. But in the last few weeks I haven't been able to smell or see anything. I did set my worst fuel mileage record ever last month (15 mpg), but I think that has to do with moving along in 1st gear in heavy traffic with -30 degree temps. I've been back to the normal winter mileage of about 24 mpg.
