ok guy, i need some help here, a couple of weeks ago i was driving on the highwqay and my 98 cavalier started to over heat. i drove alittle longer and it looked like it was cooling down. then all of a sudden i lost all power and the car shut off, soi pulled to the side of the road and had the car towed home. when i tried to start the car again it cranked and cranked but wouldn't start. but when it cranks it kinda sounds flat like when you crank but don't have any spark. does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong, i would reall appreciate the help.
Pull the spark plugs and see if they are coated in coolant.
the way the thermostat works is by submersing the sensor head in fluid of which you want the temperature of
no fluid = no reading(the temp was going down), this can happen depending on how fast(sudden) the water loss was
pull the plugs
-t
do a compression test. look and see if theres fluid in the coolant reservoir. check your fuel pressure.
I just cant drive 55
