Got a strange problem with my engine. After every cold start my engine speeds up and slows down several times when the engine is cold. This occurs about 20 seconds after the engine has been started and is sometimes very scary for my wife because it will happen when she puts it in gear to back up and the car lurches with the speed increase of the engine, although the engine speed will still increase if it's left in neutral. Once the car is warmed up there is no problem afterward until the next cold start. Does anyone have any clues as to what the problem might be?

Grab a can of throtle body cleaner and spray some through it with the engine on and reving it up some, it worked for me...
Thanks Luis. Where exactly did you spray the throttle body cleaner? At the throttle valve or in one of the hoses?
