I have 1998 Cavy Z24 with a annoying screeching noise coming from the passenger side wheel, it sounds like my brakes are bad. But it only makes the noise while i am driving, cuz when i brake it does not make the noise and i have checked my pads they are okay. I was just wondering what that noise could be... could if be a wheel bearing going bad?
Squeek when rolling, no squeak when on the brakes? Your squealers (not sure the "official" name) are touching. More than likely your pads are either shot, or the little metal squealer tab is bent making contact with the rotor.
Sounds like it, I had my rear wheel bearings go bad on me.

Yes, it does sounds like it because
A bad wheel bearing would make a none stop squealing noise and the faster you go the worst it would get.
wheel bearing make a 'growling' noise. your description sounds like a 'wear sensor' (squealer, screecher, little metal tab on a brake pad) rubbing on the rotor. that noise is constant while rolling and normally goes away when you brake. i doubt it's a wheel bearing from what you said about when it happens and the type of noise it makes.
^^^Exactly what I was trying to say...or at least making an attempt at.
haha i third that lol
Yeah Wheel bearing would make a growling noise defiantly not a squeaking, Check the rotors for build up of rust and debris, as far as i can remeber my parents car brakes squeaked sometimes because of that but yeh check that and the squealers. That would be my guess.

Yeah, I hope its the brakes.. i just ordered new brakes and rotors.. i hope that fixes the problem. Thanks Guys!
You might also want to check pad wear, if the pads on the noisy side are worn unevenly, IE the pad surface isn't parallel to the backing plate, then your caliper is sticking on the caliper bolts. At the very least make sure those bolts are clean and re-greased, and the tubes they go into on the calipers are also clean. It wouldn't hurt to replace those bolts, but I doubt its necessary.
ok i will do that, i know about a year ago i put new calipers on thinking it would stop the pads from wearing unevenly, but that did not help. That is why i got new rotors this time.. see if that helps.
will bad wheel bearings make you car feel like
the trans is slipping
i have a problem where when i make left turns the pass side
of my car get a shudder feel and a growling noise/ vibration
then it feels like my trans slips then grabs again
i am about to replace
both drive shafts
both inner and outter tie rod ends
my ball joints
and install my front sway bar
the only thing i could think of was the wheel bearings

The growling noise/vibration could possibly be a wheel bearing, but the "grabs again" part sounds more like you are low on tranny fluid.

could be cv joints, if you are replacing your shafts this will prob fix it. If one is completely fcuked it might be sperarting and not directing drive with a lot of lock and then the diff will send the power to the free spinning shaft until it catches again and will then pull.
Well we replaced my rotors and brake pads... so far so good.... but we did find that a year ago I had a garage replace my calibers.... well while taking them off to replace the pads and rotors.. my bolts that hold the calibers on had no grease and were wore down a lot... so we replaced the bolts too.. so far sooo good!! Thanks Guys!
