Car wont start! help meh please!
Saturday, September 22, 2007 9:59 AM
i was sitting in my car, listening to a new cd i just made to make sure it sounded ok. the car was running fine the all of a sudden the rpms started jumping from idle to almost 1k, like it was revving, then it just died and it wont start back up. it cranks just fine, but wont start. I have an 03 Cavalier Ecotec automatic with no mods aside from an air intake. any ideas?

Check your battery. If you are getting a cranking noise, it is not your starter. If you were getting a click noise when you tired to start it, it would be your starter. Do you sit in your car and listen to your radio alot? It might be your battery.

does your radio still work? lights and everything?
it could be your ignition control module or coil packs

Did you run out of gas by chance?

You have gas in the car? My car died on me at a stop sign, even though the guage still read 1/4 tank. So filling her up might just do the trick. It did for mine.
