Heated O2 sensor (rear)

Goes down the driver's side of the exhaust tunnel.

Check near the subframe for a plug the same shape.

That looks like the injector plug on the 2.4, but as far as the 2.2, I dunno.

you would need the cat at least since the rear o2 bung is welded to it.

On my 97 2.2, that plug is tied back and not connected to anything.

Same here, I have been curious to what it was for exactly...

Just some odd plug hanging there, my motor had been replaced before I bought it so I figured it was just one of those things that were missed in the swap.

if the car doesnt seem to be having a problem ...
it probbaly doesnt go anywhere .......
car has crusie control ? or a/c ? or any other ?
most likely its a aux power supply for sumthing like that ....
especially if it seems to be apart of the harness

Sorry, its none of the above.

I'm 100% sure its the rear o2 sensor plug.

I'm actually surprised that a code isn't being thrown with it not hooked up

if your exhaust doesnt have an 02 sensor after the cat then you need to buy a heated o2 and have someone weld an o2 bung on your exhaust.
