ok im bout to get a new cavy... the coolant is turning milky... what the hell is that? any input will be appreciated... thanks

Are you losing coolant in the process, or is their oil mixed in with it in the resovoir? White'ish smoke coming from the exhaust? Could be a head gasket issue...more details?
Agree with the head gasket diagnosis. Milky coolant is usually oil mixing with the coolant. 2.2's are known to have head gasket problems. I have had a 96 and a 97 and replaced both head gaskets.
replace the head gasket and resurface the cylinder head at a machine shop.
