I can pick up a 98z24 in great shape but it has bent valves and needs pistons how hard of a job is that? And what would it cost around to get fixed by someone?
Thanx
I have worked on a 2.4l engine it is a pain in the ***, and that was on a engine stand rebuilding the motor!! it is expensive to have someone else work on it!!!
This is my 5 cents worth, (normally is would be 2 cents worth but I have adjusted it for inflation)
Car I drive:
99 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 5 spd man (My daily car)
98 Ford Escort ZX2 4 spd auto
Cheaper to replace entire motor...
Thing about the cav/fire engines it there throw away engines meaning when something like that happens you junk it and start over to much work and plus how do you know if the head is still good and the cylinder walls do you know if there all scared up?
