i need some help identifying a knocking noise in my 99 z. It sounds like it is coming from the wheel area but only when i let off of the gas. thought something was stuck in the tire but the was not. im pretty sure its not the wheel barrings i have replace a set before plus it does not sound like them going bad. im thinking it might be the cv joints maybe any info on this would be very helpful

If it was the cv's, then youd hear that noise all the time (or during turns for some). Take a look at your suspension parts, sounds like something came loose.

any others on this dont want to drive the car to make something worse
last time i heard that kind of noise from my car....knocking from the front drivers side.....i had reacently taken my wheels off and didnt re-tourque them and some of the lugs were loose and tightend them up and no knocking could be as simple as that lol
