ok, so the only car i ahve ever done pads on was my camaro and i needed a special socket to get the caliper off. do our calipers have anything special i need to get it off? i only ask because im kinda limited on tools and if i do need a special socket id like to buy it when i pick up the new pads.
any info would be great!

3/8 and I prefer the allen socket. It allows you to get a good wrench on it and you need to torque them down a certain amount. It's either 33ft-lbs or 38ft-lbs, sorry i don't have my haynes manual infront of me but I'm almost sure it's 38ft-lbs as 33is for the banjo bolt. Also if your not upgrading make sure to get new rotors as they are cheap regardless of how much life you have left on yours. Other than that I like to keep a big c clamp handy to compress the caliper before i remove them otherwise you'll have trouble fitting oyur thicker pads on the rotor. Then it's just lots of brake anti squeel and you should be fine.

yes as mentioned its pretty simple. 2 3/8" allen bolts on the back of each caliper. once they are loosened you can slide the bolt back. make sure you grease them back up to help prevent them from sticking later.

Also, I might want to add, that it is a good idea to grease the fittings (zerks is what they are called). I cant remember on what type of greese though
