Hey everyone, I've been searching the net for a while now just trying to find a site where it list interchangeable parts for my 1995 Sunfire 2.2 5spd. The transmission in my car is now warn out 1st and 2nd gear disapearred one day, and has to be replaced. thou here in SouthWest Nova Scotia there are not alot of older model sunfire's left for parts. What I need to know is.......
What other Transmission's can I use to replace my 5speed. What ones will bolt up and do i need the axle's for other trannys.. Its just the basic 2.2 liter ohv motor.
Will a tranny from an older 3.1 sunbird fit? or there 2.0 sunbird trannys? Any help would be awsome on this matter... thanks..

for a direct bolt up Id assume any 95-99 5spd from a 2.2 is the only option. At least as far as axles and mounts are concerned. Im sure you can get another trans to bolt to the motor easily, but not nessecarily to the car easily.
