NOTE: It only happens once in a while
I have a 2003 cavy that tends to shut down when the car is out of gear or clutch pushed in.
Example: If i'm going down the road and want to stop b/c of a light when I push in the clutch, the car shuts down on me. As long as I down shift quickly, it won't shut off till I stop. Some times i can get it to start right back up but the majority of the time I have to keep the gas pushed in to stay running. After it does it a few times it won't do it again for a while.
The car has done this since I bought it in 2005. I turboed in 06 and GM couldn't find the problem so I have delt with it ever since. It's a pain in my ass sometimes but I haved managed to deal with it. Please help me out.

You don't mention any trouble codes, but you may have a small vacuum leak, or the IAC pintle is getting dirty or operating too slowly. Check for vacuum leaks, and then remove the IAC from the TB and clean it and its bore really well with TB cleaner and put it back and see if that helps any.
