How long should the muffler last?
Mine has a small amount of water leaking out of it.
Should I change it ?

anybody else have their muffler start rusting out after 31/2 years?

Water in the muffler is not a problem with the muffler, there is no way a muffler going bad would cause a water leak. The water your seeing if casue form condensation that builds up in the exhaust, its completely normal, you have nothign to worry about.

But it's leaking out at the bottom towards the front of the car.
I figure it may also be rusting on teh inside as well.

The factory exhaust is made of a fairly cheap stainless steel, so it probably won't rust nearly as fast as mufflers used to in years past. Also, some mufflers I have seen actually have a very small drain hole in the bottom to allow condensation to drain, I dunno if the factory one is like that though or not. I really wouldn't worry too much about it for now, but its a good excuse to go with an aftermarket exhaust.
