Well for the last couple of days i have had charging problems with my car and not being able to keepo a charge....like the last week...no lights are being left on, subs are unhooked, nothign connected to the car except the battery....well ive been able to jump it the last couple of days and it would start right up and run perfect like nothign was wrong....but if it sits for more then a few hours, (work, sleep) and i go to start it it will crank a time or two and then i get the nice clicky noises.....well i went to jump it tonight and when i hooked it up and went to start it, it actually completely killed the car, and nothing would happen, except for the starter actually started to smoke a lil bit....before anyone says it...the jumper cables were on the right way!!
Just wondering if anyone would have some insight into what could be the problem or any similar problems with anyone and there solutions!
thanks in advance i really appreciate it...I guess ill be riding the bike to work tomorrow until i fix it....

You've got a dead cell in your battery.
Take it to AutoZone or another car parts supplier and have them load test your battery.
Another way to check your charging system is to take off the positive connection on the battery while the engine is running.
If the alternator is working properly, it'll keep the car running. If the car stops running or conks out after you remove the positive battery post, the alternator is not working correctly.
It should be a simple fix.
Good luck.

If smoke was coming from the starter, I'd be ready to replace it soonish.
