somehow i got something stuck to my exhaust pipe yesterday, and now its melted on and man does it STINK.....how should i go about getting that mess off????

Knowing what is stuck on there, or at least the material it is made of, would go a long ways towards getting advice on how to remove it.

i dont know exactly what it is, but it looks like it is (was) a plastic bag like u get at the grocery store

If that's the case, easiest way is to simply drive.....it will burn/melt off.
If there's a lot stuck to it, use a plastic scraper (like for spreading bondo or drywall mud) to get most off, then take a long drive, getting the exhaust nice and hot.

yep, that exactly happened to me....what color is it yours red? blue?green? yellow??? its a plastic bag!!!! most likely......It stinks I know....let it burn and after a couple of weeks you can scrap it out....mine got stuck around the catalytic
