I changed my headlight bulbs to 80/100 watt bulbs this is the second time that the clip that clips in the bulb has melted. I need a new clip last time i got lucky and found an 03 cavi at the junkyard. But when i went to the dealer the guy had no clue what piece i was talking about and tried to sell me a whole new pigtail. All i need is the little clip that goes from the bulb to i think the pigtail. Im not sure if the same piece is used on the 02 and older cavis because they changed the lights. so what do i do, can i find that piece on any year of cavi? If i disabled my drls after i replace that part will it fix the problem? Are there high wattage clips that i can buy?
***Looking for a BLUE 03+ STOCK cavi wing pm me if ya got one you wanna sell***
The 03-05 Cav is the H9 and H11 bulbs. You're going to keep melting them with that high a wattage.... you're lucky you didn't melt the headlight and cause a fire or electrical overload...
actually hte sunfires are H9 and H11, the Cav is 9007. As for your problem, disabling your DRLs isnt going to fix the issue, its the bulb pulling power, eventually your going to be looking for a wiring harness with those wattage bulbs.
