well finally narrowed my rattling nosie down to the tensioner pulley so i took the one i had off my old motor ...put it on (i know it never rattled) and it does it too...so am i not doing something right on the pulley...the rattling is driving me insane
Mine does the same, I changed the tensioner and pulley twice, put an AC Delco and a Dayco and it keep rattling, but just on initial rev up, so I just forgot it.
mine is so annoying....theres gotta be a reason for it
I know how you feel man ...same thing happens with my car ...but a short little rev before i put her in drive does the trick...but some times even when I am driving around the sounds starts ...So i crank up the Bass ...I might become def before I am 30 but at least I wont end up in the Crazy part of the hospital going in sane listening to that sound everyday
it's your compressor for a/c by the sounds of it ... it can be over run but your left with no a/c which is the easy way out lol..
does the sound go away when you put the a/c on
See " Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch Plate" in the 3rd gen forum. Good Luck, Dave
Yes it is for sure your AC Clutch
my ac is not even hooked up
the compressor is there but its not hooked up
well it is unhooked i just got a belt for without a/c and never took the compressor off
If it is not spinning it canīt be the compressor. Check the belt it may be elongated or something. In my car the rattling was only in neutral and quick rev ups you could only hear it with the hood open, I think it went away after break in of the new tensioner.
im gonna take a short video clip of it and post it on here tommorow
