This may be a dumb question, but how hard is it to change the spark plugs in a 2002 ecotech cav? I don't have a manual for the car, so i am not even sure where they are or how hard they are to get to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
easy really!!! just unbolt the plug assembly on the valve cover. this thing.

once u get all 4 of those bolts out, the assembly comes out as a whole. it may b a little tough of a pull but thats just the vacuum of the plug boots. once thats off u have access to the 4 plugs.

Cool....thanks. Next question, What brand of spark plug is the best to use. My car is still pretty much stock.
Stock AC Delco platinums. Available absolutly everywhere, not too pricey, and very good. Even on modded engines, these are probably the best. I honestly can't even think of another plug to recommend. Ok, NGK Iridiums are probably as good, but so expensive.
Cool....thanks for the advice.
I ended up going with the AC Delco Iridiums....i went to auto zone and two murrays and none of them had the platinums. Plus the platinums were listed at 10.99 and the iridiums were 5.99, which seemed kind of weird to me because the dude at murrays said that the iridiums were better, is that true or did i get some false info? Anyways, i got them in the car without any problems and the car seems to be running just fine. So i guess that is one problem solved, only 99 more to go.
ive ran both in my car and i have a much smother ride with the NGK s. i think the part number was TR55GP or somthing along those lines...
Yea i went to get my plugs and the boots and for some odd reason autozone doesn't care the boots and didn't have the regular ac delco either.
How many miles did you have on your 02 eco? I just hit 75,000 miles.

i am just under 85,000 miles. I put the ac delco iridiums in and so far i like them. The engine is definitly running a lot smoother than it was before. I was going to replace the boots too, but the autozone and both of the murrays that i went to didn't have the ones for my car. Do you know where i can get the boots for a decent price?
